Caparov calls for an end to the genocide in Palestine from the UN podium
In his address to the UN General Assembly, Kyrgyzstan President Sadyr Caparov emphasized that the world must not remain indifferent to the humanitarian tragedy unfolding in Gaza before the eyes of the entire world
Kyrgyzstan President Sadyr Caparov, speaking at the 80th UN General Assembly in New York City, called for an end to the “genocide” against Palestinians and for the International Court of Justice to launch a judicial investigation into the matter.
President Caparov stated that the world must not remain indifferent to the humanitarian tragedy unfolding in Gaza before the eyes of the entire world. Reiterating their condemnation of the October 7, 2023 attack, Caparov said that the fight against terrorism has its own procedures and that he could not understand how the deaths of innocent civilians, especially children, could be allowed.
Caparov stressed the need to implement a two-state solution based on the 1967 borders and to protect the rights of the Palestinian people. He also expressed his sympathy for the suffering of the Palestinian people, who have suffered heavy losses in the clashes in the Gaza Strip.
Condemning the recent missile attacks on Qatari and Iranian territory, Caparov said that such actions violate the sovereignty of independent states and are contrary to international law. In his speech, he stressed that the fight against terrorism must be proportionate to the scale of terrorism and that it is critically important that civilians are not harmed.
Caparov's strong statements once again clearly demonstrated Kyrgyzstan's stance on the Palestinian issue on the international stage.
