Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic Kazakbayev met with Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Yumakly

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Turkey Ruslan Kazakbayev met with Minister of Agriculture and Forestry of the Republic of Turkey Ibrahim Yumakli.

 

During the meeting, issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of agriculture and forestry, as well as the export of agricultural products from Kyrgyzstan to Turkey and the exchange of experience in this area were discussed in detail.

 

Ambassador Kazakbayev proposed to assess the issues of increasing the export of Kyrgyz agricultural products to Turkey by reducing customs tariffs on Kyrgyz honey and apricots and lifting the ban on the import of meat products.

 

They also discussed issues of cooperation in the fields of organic farming, animal husbandry and the development of cooperatives, as well as providing Kyrgyz farmers with bean seeds and elite wheat varieties, as well as organizing training centers for the development of aquaculture.

 

Ambassador Kazakbayev and Minister Ibrahim Yumakly discussed the issue of organizing high-level visits between the two countries. The Turkish side received an invitation to visit Kyrgyzstan at a convenient time on behalf of the Minister of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic A. Janybekov.

 

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to hold an online meeting of the Working Groups of the Ministries of Agriculture of the two countries, as well as to explore the possibility of signing an Agreement on cooperation in the field of veterinary safety.

 

 

The meeting ended after an exchange of gifts and a photo shoot.
