Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan have signed a new agreement on cooperation in the field of energy

The agreement between the three countries was signed at the Tashkent International Investment Forum, held in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan.

A meeting of the energy ministers of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan was held in Uzbekistan. At the meeting, which took place within the framework of the Tashkent International Investment Forum, an agreement was reached on interconnecting energy systems.

As part of the agreement, it is envisaged that a fiber-optic line will be laid along the bottom of the Caspian Sea and on the territory of the three countries, and support programs have been prepared. Within the framework of the new agreement, a proposed business model for the development of international transit corridors and the sale of "green" energy to the countries of the European Union will be developed. Laying a cable along the bottom of the Caspian Sea will connect the energy systems of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
