Bayramov: We discussed projects in the fields of economy, trade, investment, transport, agriculture, high technology and tourism

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Ceyhun Bayramov said that they discussed new projects in the fields of economy, trade, investment, transport, agriculture, high technology and tourism, and said: "We will witness news that will cause new and very serious consequences."

Bayramov spoke at a joint press conference with his colleagues Hakan Fidan and Ilia Darchiashvili after the 9th meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Turkey, Azerbaijan and Georgia.

Assessing the relations between the three countries, Bayramov said: "The agenda of relations between Azerbaijan, Turkey and Georgia is multifaceted and rich, and at the same time it is an example for many countries."

Bayramov said that they had signed the Baku Declaration on further Strengthening and Development of relations, and said:

"The dynamism of our economic relations is in full line with the political dialogue. The economic triangle of Azerbaijan, Turkey and Georgia has been formed in a wide geography covering the Caspian and Black Sea basins. Thanks to our joint efforts, projects such as the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway project, the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline and the Southern Gas Corridor, which have formed and significantly changed energy and transport maps covering a wider geography, expanding the coverage of the region, have become a reality."

Recalling that Azerbaijan is one of the main investors in Turkey and Georgia, Bayramov said: "We discussed projects in the fields of economy, trade, investment, transport, agriculture, high technology and tourism. We talked about new projects. In the near future, we will witness a number of new and very serious news."

Bayramov also mentioned initiatives in the field of renewable energy sources and stressed that, in their opinion, relations in the traditional energy sector will be preserved in the renewable energy sector.

Noting that he informed his colleagues about the situation after the conflict with Armenia, reconstruction and mine clearance work, Bayramov said: "Since the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan are fully secured, there is a historic chance for peace with Armenia. Azerbaijan is taking steps in this direction. The norms of international law must be applied to ensure peace and stability in the region. The international community must stop the vengeful forces in Armenia."
