New International Airport Construction in Kyrgyzstan
A new international airport to be built in the city of Jalal-Abad, Kyrgyzstan, is expected to make a significant contribution to the development of the region.
Construction will soon begin on a new airport named “Jalal-Abad International Airport,” located in the Suzak district of Kyrgyzstan’s Jalal-Abad region.
The project is being implemented as part of the country's strategy to develop the aviation sector.
The airport will be built on an area of 381 hectares. As part of the project, a two-story passenger terminal covering 10,000 square meters will be constructed.
The new terminal is planned to serve up to 350 passengers per hour. This capacity is expected to significantly boost air transportation in the region.
The airport’s infrastructure will meet international standards. With a 3,800-meter runway, two taxiways, and six aircraft parking spaces, the facility will be able to serve both passenger and cargo aircraft.
Experts emphasize that the airport will provide major economic and logistical benefits not only to the Jalal-Abad region but also to all of southern Kyrgyzstan.
The project stands out as part of the aviation modernization strategy led by President Sadyr Japarov.
